I retreated once again and ran to my sinfulness
And only felt emptiness

Of joy and peace
But distractions always came to take that away from me

So Lord, I need Your providence to take control
And heal my broken and contrite heart to refresh my soul
I know that you alone are able to redeem me from my past
And provide that only healing that will last
