Came home on a night-flight
The sun never went down
Been looking down to this world and it Seemed smaller than I thought
So Im longing for the open plains
For space I need to find
Im dreamin of a river wide
As crystal as my mind
Find myself here out of place
in this land of swamp and rain
Find myself a stranger here
With not much more to gain
So Ill go out in the open land
To try and find some space
To settle down and live again
And leave without a trace
For all my life Im searching
It was such a restless time
Searched for love and for someone
to help me stay myself
I feel the urge to move ahead
And leave this far behind
Been hanging round this place to long
Been drifting out of mind

In this swamp of misery and rain
Living like a stranger here

Where hope and dreams come true
Where crystal rivers flow beneath
A sky thats always new
The autumn is already here
The time has flown away
My life seemed just a fraction
Of a long predicted play
So I humbly go along the road
And following the flow
Ill reach the place where I belong

Where green shades turn to blue
